Everyone knows it’s tradition to hire a photographer for weddings, engagements, graduations, and other special events, but what’s included in that “other” category? There are many more occasions that a photographer can capture for you than you might initially think. Just because photographers are more commonly present at some events than others doesn’t mean you can’t hire them for more unique events. If the occasion is important to you, you have every reason to preserve your memories of it.
Here are a few less conventional events you might consider hiring a photographer for:
- Corporate Events – Whether you have an upcoming conference, meeting, award ceremony, or anniversary celebration, there are many kinds of corporate events that could benefit from a photographer. Photos can be used for your company’s website, socials, newsletters, advertisements, and more, in addition to just being a good way to record company history.
- Holidays – Religious and nonreligious public holidays are often worth capturing on camera. Maybe you want to take family photos during your Christmas get-together or take pictures at your big Independence Day party.
- Birthdays & Personal Landmark Events – Important birthdays, quinceañeras, bar mitzvahs, and bat mitzvahs are great opportunities to take photos, especially if you want them to be something your kids remember.
- Family Reunions – If your family is coming together for a special reunion, it’s great to have a photographer there who can capture all the fun and take better-quality photos than your phone could.
